Ryan,

Hope everything is going well! I can't wait for Saturday, and hope we're still on for dinner with Mike and the opening night party at the gallery.

This is going to sound strange, but I was taking a break (no, not that kind of break!) to check my e-mail and found this: http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/mm5617a1.htm Did you and Mike get smallpox vaccines, and if so, how long ago? And I guess that officially makes me a geek, doesn't it?

Anne,

Everything's going really well. We're definitely on, and Mike is really looking forward to meeting you. He says there's a restaurant near the gallery that's supposed to have really spectacular food, and he wants to treat us to it.

I had my smallpox vaccination four years ago, and I think Mike had his three or four years ago, too. I'll verify with him to be sure. That's really weird and kind of creepy. I think someone wasn't washing his hands well enough. You should be very safe, though.

Why thank you! You are win and awesome too, pet. ;) I'm a firm believer in taking care where such things are concerned, and I've been very glad to see that you are, too. And Mike's meticulous, too, so you won't have any worries there.
